Pretty good mascara Feb 29, 2008
By L. Anderson I usually buy Lancome Definicils mascara, but tried this Elizabeth Arden one after seeing it mentioned in a magazine. Yes, it goes on smoothly and doesn't clump, but I wouldn't say it's any better than the other at making lashes look longer.
Interesting Mascara... Mar 17, 2012
By Danielle I'm a mascara junkie because I was blessed with short, unnoticeable, thin lashes. My favorite was Shiseido's Perfect Mascara of which Shiseido didn't think was perfect and changed it. So now its no longer perfect in my mind.
I've looked at Estee Lauder and some other brands. I used to be a fan of Guerlains, as it added volume, but didn't really lengthen.
I found the Ceramide mascara on accident. I bought it because the sales associate looked like she needed a sale and was giving me puppy eye looks. I thought the formula was clumpy and waxy. But I got mine home and it was neither clumpy or waxy... at least for a while.
There's something in this formula that can make it hard to manage so you constantly have to clean the brush if you want your lashes not to clump together. Its a buildable formula only when wet. So don't apply some layers and expect to add more later on in the day as this will make clumpy lashes also. It does lengthen and volumize depending on how well you clean the wand you can get a really natural look or you can get a more volumized look with less cleaning of the wand.
I've only used this formula for a few weeks. Its suppose to help make your lashes grow. I think it might.. but not sure on this verdict yet. It is very easy to wash off, and if you do cry it will find its way all around your face, but I've dealt with worse formulas that just chip off, this doesn't.
I do have sensitive eyes and this does aggrivate them, but not to the point my eyes are burning.
What I really like about this formula, even though in brown, it "pops" the whites of your eyes like no other mascara I've seen. I even left the counter wearing Elizabeth Arden on one eye and Estee Lauder on the other eye and I went into the bathroom and said "Wow" because the whites of my eyes were whiter and brighter and bigger compare to the Estee Lauder... so whatever they put in the formula color wise and luminosity wise makes you look healthier.
