Buyer Beware! Jan 28, 2010
By Just V I bought this kit in July of 2009. I has never had acne or pimples on my cheeks, chin, or forehead. I had a tendency to get blackheads on my nose and a random pimple but that was about it. I used the kit until it ran out. By the time I threw away my empty foundation and mineral veil jars I had what is called cystic acne that covered both cheeks, practically my whole face. I decided to have my skin checked out before I purchased any type of make up and learned that Bareminerals contains Bismuth Oxychloride which was causing allergic reations and acne. When I first purchased and applied I would get some itching and burning when I would perspire or when I was exposed to the sun. I wrote it off and thought it couldnt be the make up because it was all natural minerals. I was wrong, when I had my skin looked at I was told to stay away from the baremineral and it would quickly clear. It has! I've been free of bareminerals for nearly three weeks and what a difference! My skin is clearing rapidly. I would NEVER go back to bareminerals. It may be good for some but be aware of the possibilities of an allergic reation or definitly stop using it if you begin to break out.

Bare minerals starter kit Jan 12, 2009
By A. J. Rouse
"workout guru"
First off, a very speedy delivery. It came neatly organized with a dvd included on how to use the bare minerals. I really like how natural this product looks on my face. It isn't ashy or oily at all. After taking the stickers off the inside of each one I realized it's best not to to preserve and save the powder. I have broke out more using this product so Im not sure if I will continue or not.

Great product ~ wish the "light" selection was only "light" Jan 09, 2009
By K. Snyder Great product, but wish that they would keep only "light" colored products in the box/package that they sell as "light". The products that they sent are great, but why would they include a "medium" foundation as part of the light skin package... Makes no sense, and gave me some product that I can't use..

good for beginer Sep 24, 2009
By Irene A. Gendron I was pretty impressed. I don't usually do makeup because of a lot of grooves from acne scars. This made my skin look a lot smoother. I just turned 60 and I feel much more confident.

Fair Deal Jul 31, 2010
By September I finally realized that there are just some things you shouldn't skimp on, moneywise, make-up being one of them. So, I set off on a quest to find good quality make-up, trying a number of "starter kits". I have since discovered ULTA, which has make-up brands I've never heard of, many of which I have since fell in love with. This light Bare Escentuals is a good deal based on what you get versus what you pay. It creates a smooth, clean finish evening out your completion while covering any blemishes. The problem I had with the light or fair kit is that some of the colors were too dark to be used. On the bright side, you get a good education as to the kind of make-up offered by Bare Escentuals and some high quality brushes.
