After testing many samples of cologne for my first purchase (20 year old college student), I finally settled on Rochas Man. Oh, and what a choice! I used to wear Axe, until I decided it was time to graduate to a big boy scent.
Rochas is a gourmand, a delicious blend of mocha, vanilla, and lavender. It is sweet, but not overpowering like others with similar scents (I'm looking at you, A*Men). I love the way I smell wearing it, I sneak sniffs of my wrist several times on days when I wear this. It's perfect for fun nights out, and can be worn during the day during the fall/winter (maybe even spring) seasons.
Besides the wonderful scent itself, the bottle is fantastic too. Futuristic and cone-shaped, it looks almost like an alien spaceship. I've gotten many comments on the "weird thing on your desk", which invariably ends in the questioner smelling it and loving it.
I can't recommend this enough.

Rochas Man opens with a strong blast of lavender that will immediately grab one's attention, as if its triangular bottle design and pink box are not enough. :P
It is candy sweet in the opening, but quickly settles, and then the vanilla scent rises. Hints of its floral scent emerge from time to time within the first 30 minutes. At some point, I can smell some similarities to Le Male, but only better. Some people also compare this to A*Men (Angel Men), but to me, Rochas Man is not as intense. It is smooth and pleasant to the nose, which makes it wearable anytime of the day.
This cologne has a nice longevity on me, a good 7+ hours when I sprayed one cold January afternoon. The projection is average, just the way I like it. Wear this properly, then walk in a place where there's a close proximity to strangers (like in a grocery store) and notice some heads discreetly turning.
I would wear this during a casual stroll in the mall; when going out with the wife; when hanging out with friends; or even during an ordinary boring day at work.
Rochas man emanates a youthful aroma, so if you are into a more mysterious masculine dark scent, this isn't for you. This is a fantastic and an inexpensive scent that I would highly recommend to all men who love sweet-smelling perfumes on them.

I thought I'd move up something more than the typical axe sprays sold in supermarkets. I wanted something with a sweet but masculine scent and this product did not disappoint. Girls LOVE it.

I love this cologne! My boyfriend started using it about a year ago. It has a beautiful sex appeal to it.I just can't get enough of it. My family and friends like it also. people are always asking me what my boyfriend has on.

Rochas Man is my favorite men's fragrance. If you like gourmands, which I guess is what they call the "food fragrances," you'll love this. It's sweet without being cloying, with enough coffee to darken the effect and make it clearly masculine. Hands down, this fragrance wins for eliciting compliments. At some point each evening when I wear this, someone frequently winds up with their nose in my neck - a sign of an effective fragrance if ever there was one.
